The Airspace Code of Conduct

Last updated July 16, 2026

Welcome to the lounge! Airport.Social was built to turn boring, liminal airport dead-time into meaningful human connections—whether you’re looking to expand your professional network, grab a casual coffee, or find a fleeting spark before your flight.

Because our community meets in high-security, high-stress, federally regulated airport environments, we hold our members to an exceptionally high standard. Our airspace is built on mutual respect, absolute discretion, and absolute consent.

By using the App, you agree to fly by these rules. Failure to follow them will result in an immediate grounding (account suspension or permanent ban).

The Four Pillars of Flight Deck Civility

1. Respect the Mode

Our standard: Only interact with users based on their active profile mode.

Why it matters: A business traveler in "Business Class" mode is there to network, not to be hit on.

2. Post-Security Only

Our standard: You must be a ticketed traveler past TSA/security to match.

Why it matters: Airport.Social is not a destination app; it is for active transiting passengers only.

3. Absolute Discretion

Our standard: What happens at the gate stays at the gate.

Why it matters: Privacy is paramount. Taking screenshots of chats or profiles is strictly prohibited.

4. Safe for Work (SFW) Airspace

Our standard: Keep public-facing profiles clean and respectful.

Why it matters: Children, families, and airport staff share our physical spaces.

Zero-Tolerance Offenses (Immediate Grounding)

Some rules have no gray areas. Violating any of the following will result in an immediate, permanent, non-appealable ban of your account and device ID:

1. Mode Crossing & Unwanted Solicitation

The Rule: If someone is toggled into Business Class (Professional) or Layover (Casual) mode, any romantic or sexual advances are strictly prohibited. Keep those conversations professional and platonic. Romantic intentions belong exclusively in Mile High mode.

Solicitation: Offering, buying, selling, or trading commercial sex, escort services, or any form of transactional companionship is illegal and will be instantly reported to airport authorities if necessary.

2. Screenshotting and Doxxing

The Rule: You are strictly prohibited from taking screenshots or screen recordings of other users’ profiles, photos, Private Vaults, or chat logs.

The Penalty: If our system detects a screenshot (or if a user reports a leak of their profile to external social media), you will be permanently banned.

3. Disruption of Airport Security

The Rule: Your physical behavior inside the terminal must comply with all local, federal, and international aviation laws.

Security Violations: Any behavior that results in your detention, questioning, or removal by TSA, customs, airline staff, or airport police will lead to an immediate lifetime ban. Never leave your luggage unattended to meet a match.

4. Harassment, Hate Speech, and Threatening Behavior

The Rule: We have zero tolerance for discrimination, hate speech, bullying, stalking, or targeted harassment based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or nationality.

Flight Deck Etiquette (Best Practices)

To make the most of your layover, keep these guidelines in mind:

Meet in Public: For your safety and comfort, always arrange initial meetups in highly visible, public terminal areas. Food courts, airport coffee shops, bar areas, and airline lounges are perfect.

Respect the Departure Gate: If a match tells you they have to board, let them go. Do not follow users to their departure gates, boarding lines, or onto aircraft unless you are ticketed on the exact same flight.

Keep Bios Clean: Even if you are active in Mile High (Romantic) mode, your primary avatar and public bio text must remain PG-13. Explicitly sexual language or nudity in your main profile is prohibited. Save your deeper preferences for private chats once a mutual match is established.

Verify, Don't Assume: Just because someone is in the same terminal doesn't mean they want to meet instantly. Always chat first, establish mutual interest, and coordinate a specific meeting spot.

Reporting an Infraction

If a user makes you feel unsafe, violates a mode boundary, or exhibits suspicious behavior, please report them immediately.

1.

In-App Report: Tap the "Report" button on their profile card or within your active chat window. Select the reason, and add any helpful context.

2.

Immediate Isolation: Reporting a user instantly blocks them, dissolves the match, and hides your profile from their view.

3.

Human Review: Our 24/7 Airspace Safety Team reviews all reports. Because of our Departure Wipe policy, we investigate active terminal reports with high priority before flights depart.

A Note on False Reporting: Report features are there for safety, not retaliation. Filing malicious or retaliatory false reports against users who simply declined to meet you is a violation of these guidelines and can result in sanctions on your own account.

Our Final Word
